Defensive Handgun

Defensive Handgun is a course of instruction that is designed for all individuals looking for training in the defensive use of a handgun.   The course outline is designed around the fundamentals of marksmanship and proper application of these fundamentals for accurate shooting, accuracy at speed, and the use of the pistol in defensive situations to enhance performance under stress. 

Student/Class Requirements:

Serviceable Handgun of at least .38 caliber with at least 3 magazines or speed loaders,
Quality holster and magazine pouch for reloads
Cleaning Kit and Weapon Lubrication
Eye protection, Ear protection (electronic preferred), and hat with a brim
Proper range attire – no shorts and sandals – will shoot rain or shine and from all positions
Lunch/Snacks and Water
500 rounds ammunition – Depending on Class Progress, More rounds could be needed

Range Fees will be collected the day of the course and will depend on the range being used. These fees typically range between $10 to $20 per day.

Are nylon or Serpa Holsters allowed?

No.

Can I shoot a Revolver?

Absolutely! Revolvers are great but just remember, 500 rounds through a J-Frame will take a toll by the end of the day. Also, make sure you have some speed loaders or speed strips to assist in reloads.
